SJBSM Opening Doors for Success of Hispanic Nursing Students
The U.S. Department of Education approved the Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions-Individual Development Grant (DHSI-IDG) project, titled SJBSM Opening Doors for Success of Hispanic Nursing Students (Grant #BO31S230076). This grant will empower the successful undergraduate nursing program at this HSI institution.
- The following activities will be implemented during the 2023-2028 years:
- Improve the nursing physical and equipment infrastructure of SJBSM and strengthen its’ institutional capacity;
- Improve the nursing program’s curriculum and expand the student support services for enrollment, retention, and graduation;
- Enhance High School student Support Services to transition and succeed in Postsecondary Education;
- Strengthening SJBSM’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Commitment and
- Improve the student data collection and analysis, student support services, and financial management with a digital platform.
