MPH Program

The San Juan Bautista School of Medicine recognizes its commitment with medical education and scientific investigation aimed for the improvement of the communities in Puerto Rico and abroad, and its health needs. Based on this commitment, the school has decided to broaden its academic portfolio by introducing a new Master's Degree in Public Health (M.P.H.).

This program is designed mainly to develop knowledgeable and skilled professionals that may diagnose, treat, manage and evaluate intervention programs that may prevent health conditions in the community.

Academic Program

This program primary focus is the communities’ needs. Its academic courses are offered in a trimester format (three per year) for two (2) years from Mondays thru Thursdays 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Admission requirements
Applicants must submit the following:

  1. Evidence of Bachelor’s Degree completion from a university or college accredited by the Council of Higher Education of Puerto Rico or by a renowned accrediting agency that is registered at the Federal Education Department.
  2. Grade Point Average not less than 2.50.
  3. Have approved the following courses:

  1. Official transcript from the institution attended.
  2. Three letters of recommendation
  3. Certificate of No-Penal Record
  4. Certified check or money order for $100.00 (non-refundable)

Selection Criteria
A very important aspect of the admission process is the personal interview based on attributes, integrity, personality, academic achievements, motivation and emotional stability.
