Admission is the final process for students who want to start their career in medicine. They should have complied with all San Juan Bautista School of Medicine requirements and must have been recommended by the Admissions Committee.
In keeping with official policies, the School does not discriminate on basis of place of birth, sex, ethnic group, age, color, origin, social status, physical handicap, political or religious beliefs, sexual preferences, or civil status. We believe in the integrity of human beings and their freedom to decide the field of action in which they want to perform.
The Admissions Committee evaluates all applicants, taking into consideration their academic and personal qualifications. The analysis includes their academic achievement, basic studies required to enter the program and the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) results. The motivations to study medicine, leadership qualities, ability to relate to other people and solve issues, and their participation in community and scientific activities are also considered.
